What Counts As 100% Concrete
This waste category is for clean concrete-only loads. That includes broken driveway concrete, footpaths, shed slabs, house slabs, concrete chunks, fence footings, concrete rubble, and solid concrete products removed during demolition or landscaping work.
Concrete with reinforcing wire attached is allowed, as long as the load is still concrete only.
If your load includes bricks, pavers, soil, clay, timber, tiles, green waste, metal rubbish, plastic, glass, or mixed general rubbish, it belongs in a different waste category. You can compare the options on our Skip Bin Waste Types page.
If your load is clean soil only, use 100% Soil, Dirt Or Clay. If it is clean bricks or pavers, go to Skips For Bricks & Pavers. If it is a mix of heavy materials, use Mixed Heavy Recyclable Waste.
What Cannot Go In A Concrete Skip Bin?
Concrete skip bins are strictly for concrete and concrete rubble only.
Do not put bricks, pavers, tiles, soil, dirt, clay, rocks, timber, plastic, metal rubbish, cardboard, green waste, general household rubbish, or builders waste into a concrete skip bin.
Do not put wooden posts, steel posts, plastic pots filled with concrete, hazardous waste, chemicals, liquids, batteries, tyres, mattresses, or any prohibited waste into the skip bin.
Keeping the load clean matters. Clean concrete can be recycled properly, whereas mixed loads cause delays, contamination issues, and additional handling costs.
If you are unsure whether your load is clean enough for this waste type, call Wendy before booking. It is much easier to choose the right skip the first time than to sort out a mixed load after the bin has been filled.
Which Concrete Skip Bin Size Suits Your Job
Concrete is extremely heavy, even in small amounts. That is why Monbulk Skip Hire offers dedicated 2m³ and 3m³ skip bins for concrete disposal.
A 2m³ concrete skip bin suits smaller jobs such as broken garden paths, fence footings, small slabs, short strips of concrete, or leftover piles of concrete rubble from around the yard.
A 3m³ concrete skip bin suits larger removals such as bigger paths, driveways, garage floors, multiple concrete areas, or heavier demolition jobs where the pile builds up quickly.
If you are not sure whether a 2m³ or 3m³ bin is the better fit, check our Skip Bin Sizes page or call Wendy before booking. It is usually better value to book the right size first than to run out of room halfway through the job.
How To Load A Concrete Skip Bin Properly
Concrete skip bins must be loaded level with the top edge of the skip bin or lower. Do not heap or mound the load above the rim.
Spread the weight evenly across the bin rather than dropping everything in one end. A balanced load is safer to transport and easier to collect.
Because concrete is so heavy, correct loading is important. Overfilled skip bins cannot be transported legally or safely. If the skip is overloaded or contains the wrong materials, collection may be delayed until the problem is fixed.
That is why booking the right waste type and loading the bin properly from the start usually saves time, hassle, and extra cost.

Overloaded concrete skip bin examples - Loads must be at water level to prevent injury or death to other road users from falling debris. It's also illegal for us to transport overloaded concrete skip bins!
